O município de Tiradentes foi palco do primeiro Concurso Regional de Queijo Minas Artesanal do Campo das Vertentes. Com dez queijos participantes, o evento ocorreu na manhã dessa quinta-feira (10/8). Os cinco primeiros colocados se classificaram para o Concurso Estadual de Queijos Artesanais.
O vencedor foi o Queijo Bicas da Serra, do produtor José Orlando, do município de Carrancas. “A ajuda da Emater foi primordial. Sem a Emater eu não estaria fazendo queijo. Ficamos sempre muito felizes de ver o trabalho dando resultado e tendo continuidade. Isso nos motiva e nos faz querer continuar”, relata.
O corpo de jurados foi composto por representantes do Instituto Mineiro de Agropecuária (IMA), Empresa de Pesquisa Agropecuária de Minas Gerais (Epamig), Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Comercial (Senac) e Emater-MG.
O concurso regional foi organizado pela Emater–MG, com apoio da Prefeitura de Tiradentes e Senac. Todos os participantes recebem assistência técnica da Emater-MG para regularizar a produção e conseguir a certificação de Queijo Minas Artesanal emitida pelo IMA.
