Sorocaba é a primeira cidade do Brasil a ter atendimento de equoterapia via SUS – Agência de Notícias

Sorocaba atingiu mais um feito histórico. A cidade é pioneira no Brasil a contar com atendimento de equoterapia pelo Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), por meio de convênio firmado com o Município. O serviço será ofertado para pessoas com múltiplas deficiências na Instituição Terapêutica de Grupos de Habilitação e Reabilitação (Integrar).

Pelo período de nove meses, 20 pacientes, entre crianças e adultos com deficiência física e/ou intelectual ou com Transtorno Espectro Autista (TEA), serão assistidos com o método terapêutico que utiliza o cavalo, por meio de uma abordagem interdisciplinar nas áreas de saúde, educação e equitação (exercício a cavalo) e fisioterapeuta especializada no seguimento. O investimento foi de R$ 140 mil, aportado por meio de emendas parlamentares dos vereadores Francisco França, Luís Santos e Cícero João.

O objetivo da terapia é o desenvolvimento biopsicossocial de pessoas com múltiplas deficiências. O fluxo do tratamento se dá pelo atendimento dos pacientes por médicos pediatra e clínico geral do SUS, com indicação da terapia e são regulados pela Central de Regulação Eletiva e Divisão de Avaliação e Controle (CREDAC) e, assim, atendidos, de forma inédita, na rede municipal, em parceria com a Integrar.

O prefeito Rodrigo Manga, que visitou a entidade e assistiu à sessão de tratamento de equoterapia, comemorou mais essa conquista inédita para os sorocabanos. “Esse é um trabalho lindo, que envolve profissionais sérios e traz resultados eficazes. Parabéns à Integrar por essa conquista e esse é só o começo! Para o ano que vem, ampliaremos ainda mais o serviço”, adiantou.

“Essa é mais uma demonstração da atenção da atual Administração para o público das pessoas com deficiências. No ano passado, também passamos a ofertar atendimento multidisciplinar para crianças com TEA nas entidades Associação de Socorro Imediato a Pessoas com Câncer (Asipeca) e Associação dos Amigos dos Deficientes (AMDE)”, destacou o secretário da Saúde, Dr. Cláudio Pompeo. “Estamos satisfeitos com essa iniciativa inovadora, permitida graças ao bom uso das emendas parlamentares impositivas. Esperamos que, com esse sucesso, o serviço seja ampliado já a partir do ano que vem”, completou.

Na visita, também estiveram presentes o ouvidor-geral do Município, Evandro Bueno, os vereadores Fábio Simoa, que preside a Comissão de Saúde na Câmara Municipal, Luís Santos e Francisco França. Os visitantes foram recepcionados por Leila Rovella, presidente da Integrar, Fernanda Peixe, vice-presidente da instituição, e Maria de Lourdes Caldana, tesoureira, além das profissionais e pacientes da entidade.
