O IFSP agora tem uma cota de 129 bolsas, totalizando um investimento de R$930.000 por parte do CNPq
No último dia 31, o Instituto Federal de São Paulo (IFSP) foi contemplado com um significativo aumento na cota de bolsas de iniciação científica e tecnológica concedidas pelo CNPq.
Com o anúncio, o IFSP amplia sua cota para um total de 129 bolsas, totalizando um investimento por parte do CNPq de R$ 930.000 para apoiar a pesquisa na instituição. A cota de bolsas de Iniciação Científica (PIBIC) saltou de 14 para 54; de 31 para 35 bolsas de Iniciação em Desenvolvimento Tecnológico e Inovação (PIBITI), de 1 para 8 bolsas de Iniciação Científica para as Ações Afirmativas (PIBIC-AF), e manteve-se em 32 bolsas de Iniciação Científica no Ensino Médio (PIBIC-EM).. Além das cotas do CNPq, a Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação complementa mais 6 bolsas para o programa PIBIC-AF, permitindo que todos os 14 projetos aprovados sejam implementados. No programa PIBIC-AF, podem participar os alunos ingressantes por ação afirmativa ou que sejam beneficiários de alguma ação afirmativa no IFSP.
A definição das cotas de bolsa pelo CNPq é realizada com base na análise do Relatório Institucional (RI) submetido pela PRP. Em 2022, o IFSP já tinha sido contemplado com um aumento de 14 bolsas, e agora, em 2023, com mais 41 bolsas. Assim, a pesquisa científica e tecnológica no IFSP sai de um total de 74 em 2021 para 129 bolsas em 2023, todas com a duração de 12 meses, e no novo valor de R$ 700 para ensino superior e R$ 300 para ensino médio.
Esse aumento de cotas está também alinhado com a posição do governo federal em retomar a ciência como pilar no desenvolvimento nas mais diversas dimensões. Especialmente para o IFSP e sua capilaridade no estado de São Paulo, o aumento permite atender a projetos de iniciação científica e de desenvolvimento tecnológico e inovação em diversos campi e em todos os níveis. Atrelado ao aumento de cotas, está o reajuste no valor das bolsas do CNPq, também anunciado pelo governo federal em 2023.
