A equipe da Comlurb promoveu, neste sábado (23/9), a campanha de conscientização para o incentivo à coleta seletiva na Praça Geysa Boscoli, no Anil, em Jacarepaguá, na Zona Oeste da cidade. A ação contou com a presença do Chegando de Surpresa, grupo musical composto de garis que fazem canções de conscientização sobre o descarte correto do lixo.
A campanha ocorre sempre aos sábados, desde março do ano passado, e tem como objetivo principal aumentar a participação da população na separação, em casa, dos materiais potencialmente recicláveis, além de reforçar os roteiros da coleta seletiva. A ação de incentivo já esteve em dezenas de pontos de grande visibilidade das zonas Norte, Sul, Central e Oeste.
Durante a campanha são distribuídos panfletos informativos, e técnicos da área tiram dúvidas e orientam a população. Atualmente, o serviço de coleta seletiva da Comlurb atende a 122 bairros do Rio. Todo o material coletado é entregue para as 28 cooperativas de catadores, que fazem a separação e comercializam os produtos. O lixo reciclável garante assim trabalho e renda para os cooperativados e suas famílias. Atualmente, o recolhimento porta a porta é feito uma vez por semana, em dias alternados ao da coleta domiciliar. A população pode se informar sobre o dia e horário da coleta em cada rua na página da web.
Para que o ciclo da reciclagem obtenha êxito cada vez maior é fundamental que os moradores participem desse processo, promovendo a separação do lixo em suas residências. Sem a participação da população, o serviço de coleta seletiva se torna improdutivo e caro.
