A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Serviços Públicos e Obras (Serpo), realizou, nesta sexta-feira (22), a entrega das obras de revitalização e implantação de iluminação em LED na Praça Pio XII, localizada na Avenida Pereira da Silva, no Jardim Santa Rosália. A iniciativa faz parte do programa municipal “Sorocaba Linda de Verdade”.
Entre os trabalhos realizados no local, estão: reforma dos pisos, incluindo a restauração e limpeza do calçamento de pedras portuguesas existente, pintura do coreto e das guias, manutenção dos bancos, além da implantação das novas lâmpadas, feitas especialmente para o local.
Os serviços ficaram a cargo da empresa contratada Viva Construções e Serviços Ltda., somando o valor de R$ 280 mil, oriundos de emenda parlamentar destinada pelo vereador Ítalo Moreira. Além disso, por meio de medida mitigadora do Colégio COC Sorocaba, foi feita a troca de 32 pontos de iluminação, em torno de toda a praça, por lâmpadas com tecnologia de LED.
“Este é um bairro muito tradicional da cidade e a Praça é tombada historicamente. Por isso, é tão importante podermos preservar e revitalizar esse espaço, que proporciona descanso e lazer para a população de Sorocaba”, afirma o secretário da Serpo, Darwin de Almeida Rosa, que, na ocasião, representou o prefeito Rodrigo Manga. Ele destacou, ainda, que a parceria com a iniciativa privada e o apoio do Câmara, representada pelo vereador, foram essenciais para poder realizar as obras tão aguardadas pelos moradores do bairro e por outros frequentadores que chegam de toda a cidade.
Igualmente estiveram presentes, no ato da entrega, o secretário de Mobilidade (Semob), Carlos Eduardo Paschoini, o ouvidor-geral do Município, Evandro Bueno, o vereador Ítalo Moreira e mais o engenheiro da Viva Construções e Serviços, Vinícius Filgueiras.
