A Prefeitura de Guaratinguetá juntamente com a Secretaria de Esportes e Educação em parceria com a Escola de Especialistas da Aeronáutica realiza o Programa ‘’Forças no Esporte (PROFESP)’’ aos alunos da Rede Pública de Ensino.
O programa possui a finalidade de incluir crianças e adolescentes em vulnerabilidade social e proporcionar a eles a prática de esporte e de atividades que visam à educação integral, à disciplina e à consolidação de valores.
Durante o período matutino, tempo que ficam na EEAR, são realizadas aulas de futebol, atletismo, basquete, capoeira, corrida, aulas comportamentais (disciplina e higienização), reforço escolar, artes, música, civismo, saúde e bem-estar, entre outras várias atividades.
Dessa forma, a Aeronáutica atendeu 4000 alunos durante os 10 anos de projeto. O programa acontece 4 vezes por semana, onde a Secretaria da Educação faz o transporte até o local, onde os alunos realizam as atividades, almoçam e, depois, no período vespertino, retornam para o espaço escolar.
Essa parceria entre a Escola de Especialistas da Aeronáutica e as instituições locais é um exemplo de como o esporte e a educação podem transformar vidas e criar oportunidades para jovens!
