Na manhã desta quarta-feira, dia 8, a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Ubatuba, por meio do setor de Endemias, realizou o serviço de nebulização em residências do bairro Estufa II. Esta ação é parte dos esforços da Secretaria a fim de combater os criadouros do mosquito Aedes aegypti, responsável pela transmissão da dengue, Zika, Chikungunya e febre amarela. A nebulização envolve a aplicação de inseticida para eliminar mosquitos adultos.
O coordenador de Endemias de Ubatuba, Jorge Dantas, ressaltou que apenas a aplicação do inseticida não resolve o problema, pois é essencial que o poder público e a comunidade trabalhem juntos para encontrar uma solução. Ele enfatizou a importância de os moradores realizarem inspeções semanais em seus quintais, eliminando qualquer objeto que possa acumular água. “Devido ao período chuvoso em Ubatuba, há uma alta probabilidade de materiais se tornarem criadouros do mosquito. Se a população fizer sua parte, será possível reduzir significativamente o número de casos”, destaca.
Além disso, Dantas informou que a população pode realizar denúncias por meio dos canais oficiais, como o telefone 3832-6810, bem como no site da Prefeitura de Ubatuba. Esses canais permitem que as denúncias sejam acompanhadas, o que proporciona mais transparência sobre as ações e medidas realizadas.
