Oito atletas da Escola de Canoa Havaiana da Prefeitura de Ubatuba compõem a delegação “Ubatuba Hoe”, representando o Brasil no Campeonato Pan-Americano de VA’A 2023. O evento acontecerá na Praia Curva da Jurema, em Vitória, Espírito Santo, de 21 a 25 de novembro de 2023. Os atletas competirão nas categorias V1 (JR16, JR19, Master 40), V3 (JR16 e JR19) e V6 (JR16 e JR19).
Além do Brasil, participarão da competição a Guiana Francesa, Rapa Nui, Chile, Argentina, Panamá e Peru. Lucas Miom, técnico da equipe, expressa orgulho pelos atletas e grandes expectativas para o campeonato. “Vamos em busca do Bicampeonato na JR16 e da vitória inédita na JR19. Além das competições, esse evento proporciona uma oportunidade de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado para todos”, destaca.
Fábio Rossi, secretário de Esporte e Lazer da Prefeitura de Ubatuba, expressa seus votos de boa sorte aos atletas e os parabeniza por mais essa conquista para o esporte local.
