A Comlurb inaugurou, na manhã desta sexta-feira (1/12), o Ecoponto Vila Vintém, na Praça do Trabalhador, em Padre Miguel, na Zona Oeste, o 11º apenas em 2023. Ele conta com duas caixas estacionárias de 5m³ para recebimento de entulho, bens inservíveis e galhadas. O funcionamento será das 6h às 18h, de segunda a sábado, e das 6h às 13h, aos domingos e feriados. A previsão é que até o fim de dezembro seja inaugurada uma série de Ecopontos, completando 25 no total. Em 2022, foram lançados 22.
Na quinta-feira (30/11), a Companhia já havia posto em operação outros dois Ecopontos, o José de Arimatéa, na Cidade de Deus, que conta com duas caixas estacionárias de 5 m³ para recebimento de entulho, bens inservíveis e galhadas, e uma caixa compactadora, fechada, de 15m³, destinada para lixo domiciliar. Na comunidade do Areal, em Rio das Pedras, foi inaugurado o Ecoponto Leonel Brizola, que conta com duas caixas estacionárias de 5m³ para recebimento de entulho, bens inservíveis e galhadas, e duas caixas compactadoras destinadas ao lixo domiciliar.
A Comlurb está reformando e implantando novos Ecopontos em diversas regiões da cidade, mas, especialmente, em áreas mais críticas de descarte irregular em comunidades. Assim, a Companhia garante que locais antes degradados passem a contar com pontos ordenados de descarte, com remoção regular feita por caminhões. Além de fundamentais para a ordenação dos resíduos, os Ecopontos ajudam no controle de vetores e na melhoria da saúde pública.
Os outros Ecopontos lançados este ano, até o momento, são: Praia da Rosa e Boogie Woogie (Ilha do Governador), Costa Barros (Estrada de Botafogo), Manguinhos (Conjunto da Embratel), Teixeira Brandão (Colônia Juliano Moreira), Nova Esperança (Gardênia Azul), Nova Divinéia (Grajaú) e Mata Machado (Alto da Boa Vista).
