Com a presença de diversos moradores, a Prefeitura de Sorocaba entregou, nesta quarta-feira (20), a nova área de lazer localizada nas proximidades do Conjunto Habitacional “Dr. Ulisses Guimarães”, na Rua Sandro Antônio Mendes, altura do número 80, no Parque Vitória Régia, Zona Norte da cidade.
As melhorias no espaço público fazem parte do programa municipal “Sorocaba Linda de Verdade” e compreendem a implantação de playground, dois quiosques, passeio público, luminárias em LED, bancos e paisagismo completo. A obra foi executada pela empresa Increte Pisos e Construções, mediante convênio da Prefeitura com a Secretaria de Habitação do Governo do Estado de São Paulo, via Companhia de Desenvolvimento Habitacional e Urbano (CDHU).
“São obras relevantes para os moradores, que proporcionam melhorias que impactam na qualidade de vida das famílias. O objetivo é contribuir para mais momentos de lazer e convívio social entre os moradores do bairro. O programa ‘Sorocaba Linda de Verdade’ tem surpreendido positivamente, com entregas de espaços que colaborem para o desenvolvimento da nossa cidade”, declarou o prefeito Rodrigo Manga, que esteve presente no ato.
Na ocasião, o prefeito esteve acompanhado dos secretários municipais de Serviços Públicos e Obras (Serpo), Darwin de Almeida Rosa; e de Mobilidade (Semob), Carlos Eduardo Paschoini; do ouvidor-geral do Município, Evandro Bueno; além do vereador Fausto Peres e de líderes comunitários locais, como Débora Leal e Valdecir Moreli, entre outros moradores.
“São muitos os espaços públicos que nunca receberam melhorias, mas graças ao trabalho incansável de todas as Secretarias Municipais envolvidas no programa ‘Sorocaba Linda de Verdade’, entregamos mais esse espaço harmonioso e aconchegante para a população”, afirmou o secretário Darwin.
Tais Cristine, moradora da comunidade União, estava entre os presentes, acompanhado do seu vizinho Levi, de dois anos, prestigiando o ato de entrega da área. “É maravilhoso poder receber um espaço como esse. Moramos próximo daqui e a ideia, a partir de agora, é usarmos sempre esse espaço!”, comentou.
Mais atrações
Como parte da programação do projeto “O Natal vem a nós”, uma das atrações no local foi o ônibus natalino, todo adesivado e iluminado, guiado pelo “Papai Noel Motor”. A ação é uma parceria da empresa BRT Sorocaba, com o Fundo Social de Solidariedade (FSS) da Prefeitura de Sorocaba. A iniciativa faz parte da programação do “Natal Iluminado 2023” e o ônibus circulou por vários bairros da região, realizando paradas em algumas entidades assistenciais que atuam no local.
Ainda, durante o evento, várias atividades e diversos serviços gratuitos foram oferecidas pelo Município às famílias: tais como aferição de pressão arterial e de glicemia; exposição da Divisão de Zoonoses, da Secretaria da Saúde (SES), sobre prevenção e combate à dengue e outras doenças; e doação de mudas de árvores e plantas, pela Secretaria do Meio Ambiente, Proteção e Bem-Estar Animal (Sema).
