A Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM) de Sorocaba localizou, na tarde de segunda-feira (8), um veículo furtado e que estava sendo desmontado dentro da garagem de uma casa no Parque São Bento, na Zona Norte da cidade. O caso foi registrado na Delegacia Participativa de Polícia (DPP) da Zona Norte e as investigações estão a cargo da Polícia Civil.
A GCM foi acionada pela própria Polícia Civil, para dar apoio à ocorrência, a fim de checar denúncia de veículo produto de furto. No momento em que os guardas da Inspetoria de Operações Especiais (IOPE) chegaram ao local indicado, por volta das 14h, localizaram o veículo, que tinha queixa de furto, registrada no último dia 31 de dezembro.
Os GCMs acessaram o imóvel, porém, não havia ninguém no endereço. O automóvel, um Fiat Uno, estava sem rodas e sem bancos, entre outras partes. Foi guinchado e levado à DPP, para registro de auto de apreensão. A apuração do caso caberá aos agentes do 8º Distrito Policial (DP), cuja área de abrangência engloba o Parque São Bento.
