Estão abertas as inscrições para preenchimento de mais de 5 mil vagas em cursos online gratuitos oferecidos pela Rio On, primeira plataforma digital gratuita de aprendizagem do município do Rio, lançada em julho de 2023 pela Prefeitura do Rio, por meio da Secretaria de Ciência e Tecnologia, em parceria com o Senac RJ. As aulas, que iniciam na segunda-feira (15/1), terão método de ensino baseado no desenvolvimento de habilidades voltadas para o século 21. Os pré-requisitos são ter 16 anos ou mais e ser morador do município do Rio de Janeiro. Os cursos serão oferecidos na modalidade remota em tempo real. Entre eles, há opções no eixo de Tecnologia Básica e Avançada, como Excel Dashboard Planilhas Gerenciais e Análise de Dados com Power Bi. No eixo de Comunicação, cursos de Design Gráfico Digital. Já no eixo de Empreendedorismo Inovador estão sendo oferecidos os cursos de Design Thinking e processos criativos, Fundamentos para projeto de móveis planejados, Educação Financeira, Liderança Comunitária e Trabalho em Equipe.
Com carga horária que varia de 8h a 60h, o projeto visa a aceleração de possibilidades de trabalho e renda, buscando reduzir a escassez de profissionais qualificados para as demandas do presente e do futuro.
Junto com as nove Naves do Conhecimento, polos de capacitação tecnológica que oferecem conteúdos de forma presencial, a Rio On é mais um elo do cinturão tecnológico no município do Rio de Janeiro capaz de atender à distância a população, especialmente aqueles que estão à margem da revolução digital atual.
