Neste sábado (27), das 9h às 13h, a Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria do Meio Ambiente, Proteção e Bem-Estar Animal (Sema), promove a feira de adoção de cães, no Ceagesp, localizado na Rua Terêncio Costa Dias, 300, no Parque Santa Isabel.
A iniciativa faz parte do programa “D + uma chance, adote uma vida!”, uma campanha permanente de adoção responsável de cães e gatos da Sema. Todos os animais disponibilizados são castrados, microchipados, vacinados e vermifugados.
Adotar um animal de estimação é assumir uma responsabilidade e jamais pode ser uma ação por impulso, pois os tutores precisam garantir o cuidado necessário a esses animaizinhos por toda a vida. Um cão, por exemplo, pode viver mais de 15 anos, ou seja, ele vai precisar da atenção do seu tutor por muito tempo, como receber carinho, cuidados veterinários, além da necessidade de brincar e passear.
Os moradores que desejam adotar um animal de estimação também podem comparecer diretamente à Unidade de Proteção e Bem-Estar Animal, localizada na Rua Rosa Maria de Oliveira, 345, ao lado do Instituto Humberto de Campos, no Jardim Zulmira, que funciona de segunda a sexta-feira, das 10h às 16h.
