O Contran (Conselho Nacional de Trânsito) prorrogou os prazos para realização do exame toxicológico periódico, para condutores com as categorias C, D e E. A mudança vale para todos os casos nos quais o exame esteja vencido desde 2017.
Conforme a deliberação que confirmou a mudança, o prazo agora será escalonado para condutores com validade da CNH entre janeiro e junho – até 31 de março de 2024, e condutores com validade da CNH entre julho e dezembro – até 30 de abril de 2024.
Exame toxicológico
Condutores que não fizerem a renovação podem ser multados em R$ 1.467,35. Em caso de reincidência do flagrante do exame toxicológico vencido, dentro do período de um ano, o valor da multa dobra para R＄ 2.934,70, com suspensão do direito de dirigir. O Contran ainda não regulamentou, como será aplicada a multa após os prazos.
“A infração é considerada gravíssima, e o motorista perde sete pontos na carteira”, lembra o diretor de Habilitação do Detran-MS, Luiz Fernando Santos.
O exame toxicológico deve ser feito em clínicas credenciadas pelo Senatran (Secretaria Nacional de Trânsito). Amostras de cabelo, pele ou unhas podem ser usadas no teste, que identifica se o condutor fez o uso de alguma substância proibida, como drogas.
A validade é de dois anos e seis meses. Caso o exame tenha resultado positivo, o motorista tem o direito de dirigir suspenso e fica impedido de emitir ou renovar a CNH por 90 dias.
