A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde do Rio (SMS) fará ações de prevenção às arboviroses (dengue, zika e chikungunya) e de controle vetorial pela cidade nesta quinta-feira (1º/02) e na sexta-feira (02/02), respectivamente. Nas atividades, serão contemplados sete bairros das zonas Norte e Oeste para a iniciativa, que será conduzida pelos agentes de vigilância ambiental em saúde, das 8h às 12h.
As ações serão nos seguintes bairros: Benfica, Jacarepaguá, Engenho Novo, Turiaçu, Itanhangá, Bangu e Santa Cruz. A intensificação das ações de prevenção e controle vetorial são estratégicas e, por essa razão, acontecem ao longo do período de fortes chuvas, onde há maior concentração de calor e a circulação de mosquitos.
Este ano, até o dia 27 de janeiro, foram visitados 331.652 imóveis para prevenção e controle do Aedes aegypti e 98.688 recipientes que poderiam servir de criadouros do mosquito foram tratados ou eliminados. Em 2023, foram 11,2 milhões de vistorias em imóveis para controle e prevenção de possíveis focos do Aedes aegypti, com eliminação ou tratamento de mais de 2,1 milhões de recipientes.
A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde também realiza ações educativas e de mobilização social para orientar a população sobre as medidas para a prevenção de arboviroses urbanas, visando despertar a responsabilidade sanitária individual e coletiva. Quando necessário, a população pode fazer pedidos de vistoria ou denunciar possíveis focos do mosquito pela Central de Atendimento da Prefeitura, no telefone 1746.
