A Liga Sorocabana de Basquete (LSB/PM Sorocaba) disputará, neste primeiro semestre, o Campeonato Brasileiro Adulto Masculino 2024. A estreia da equipe será no dia 15 de março, às 19h30, contra o Basket Osasco, no Ginásio Municipal de Esportes “Gualberto Moreira”, na Vila Hortência.
Organizada pela Confederação Brasileira de Basketball (CBB), a competição reunirá nove clubes de quatro estados brasileiros. São eles: Liga Sorocabana de Basquete (SP), Basket Osasco (SP), Basquete Santos (SP), Brusque (SC), Blumenau (SP), Cruzeiro Olympico (MG), Praia Clube (MG), EC Vitória (BA) e Basquete Tatuí (SP).
“Estamos felizes ao confirmar presença em mais um campeonato expressivo, agora em nível nacional, que pode nos levar para competições ainda maiores. Com isso, o nosso calendário do primeiro semestre fica preenchido com ótimas disputas, um presente para o torcedor sorocabano, que poderá acompanhar jogos contra equipes tradicionais”, comenta o técnico da Liga Sorocabana de Basquete, Rinaldo Rodrigues.
Na fase inicial do Campeonato Brasileiro, a equipe sorocabana integrará a Conferência 1, ao lado do Basket Osasco, Basquete Santos, Brusque e Blumenau. Já a Conferência 2 terá Cruzeiro Olympico, Praia Clube, EC Vitória e Basquete Tatuí.
A LSB representa o Município em campeonatos oficiais, com a parceria da Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Esporte e Qualidade de Vida (Sequav).
