S. José é premiada como destaque em Alfabetização pelo Estado

São José dos Campos se destaca entre as cidades do Estado de São Paulo com mais de 500 mil habitantes com melhor fluência leitora, registrando 73% de alunos leitores, segundo dados da Secretaria da Educação do Estado.
A cidade recebeu prêmio de destaque na Alfabetização, em evento realizado nesta terça-feira (20) na Sala SP, na capital. A entrega aconteceu durante o lançamento do programa Alfabetiza Juntos SP, iniciativa que pretende unir os 645 municípios e as 91 diretorias de ensino com o objetivo de atingir a alfabetização de crianças até os 7 anos de idade.
A alfabetização é uma importante fase na Educação Básica, marcando o início de infinitas possibilidades para os cidadãos. Na rede de ensino municipal, essa fase recebe olhar atento das equipes gestoras, conta com toda dedicação dos professores alfabetizadores e investimentos como: contratação de professores, formação contínua dos educadores, programa Recupera Alfabetização, que visa intensificar as ações pedagógicas, com material estruturado e jogos pedagógicos para potencializar o processo de alfabetização, busca ativa de alunos, entre outras ações.
Segundo a equipe técnica da Secretaria de Educação e Cidadania, o prêmio reconhece o trabalho conjunto e diário dos mais de 6.000 profissionais da Educação municipal que se dedicam para oferecer o melhor aos mais de 80 mil estudantes da rede, especialmente com ações de alfabetização na Educação Infantil, a partir do Pré 2, e nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, que “garantem direitos aos estudantes e ampliam o acesso ao conhecimento”.

O programa foi lançado pelo governador Tarcísio de Freitas e o secretário da Educação do Estado de São Paulo, Renato Feder, durante a cerimônia desta terça e será uma política pública de Estado, conforme decreto de criação do programa.
Segundo o Governo do Estado, a meta do programa Alfabetiza Juntos SP é ter 90% de crianças leitoras até 2026. A Secretaria de Educação do Estado irá enviar material didático aos municípios, formar os professores e ampliar a aplicação da Avaliação da Fluência Leitura, uma dos projetos da Educação em andamento desde o ano passado e que integra as ações do programa.
De acordo com a última avaliação da Fluência Leitora, feita em dezembro de 2023, 64% das crianças matriculadas nas unidades estaduais e em 600 municípios participantes eram consideradas leitoras iniciantes ou fluentes.
