A Comlurb inaugura nesta quarta-feira (06/03) o primeiro ecoponto para atender as áreas do Pavão/Pavãozinho e do Cantagalo, na Zona Sul da cidade. As localidades também vão receber tratores exclusivos para coleta domiciliar em comunidades, aptos para atuação em topografia com relevo íngreme, becos e vielas estreitas. Totalmente revitalizado, na Estrada do Cantagalo 80, o local onde está sendo instalado o novo ecoponto foi ponto crítico de descarte irregular por mais de 30 anos.
O novo espaço conta com uma caixa compactadora para recebimento de lixo domiciliar e outra para entulho, galhadas e bens inservíveis. O local vai funcionar diariamente das 6h às 18h. Este é o primeiro ecoponto de 2024. No ano passado foram 25 novas unidades. Os locais escolhidos são especialmente comunidades e regiões que registram mais áreas críticas de descarte irregular. Os ecopontos ajudam na ordenação dos resíduos e no controle de vetores, trazendo mais qualidade de vida e melhoria da saúde pública.
Já os novos tratores tornam a coleta mais ágil e eficiente, sendo feita porta a porta e em dois turnos, o que muitas vezes não era possível com outros tipos de veículos. A inauguração vai ser animada pelo grupo Chegando de Surpresa, formado por garis que usam a música em campanhas de conscientização.
