Uma equipe do Grupamento de Guardas Motociclistas (GGM) flagrou, na manhã desta quarta-feira (6/3), um motociclista de 27 anos circulando com lacre e fita isolante na placa do veículo, na Avenida Brasil, altura da estação do BRT Baixa do Sapateiro, em Ramos, na Zona Norte. Além dessa infração, o condutor ainda estava transitando pela faixa exclusiva da via expressa. O veículo foi apreendido e levado juntamente com o condutor para a 21ª (Higienópolis), onde o caso foi registrado. A infração resultou em uma multa de R$ 297,47.
Essa foi a segunda ocorrência na semana, em que um condutor utilizou de forma indevida a via e ainda adulterou a placa do veículo para dificultar a fiscalização dos agentes. Na segunda-feira (4/3), o GGM flagrou e prendeu um motorista de 38 anos que estava circulando com as placas do veículo cobertas com duas toalhas na faixa exclusiva do BRT, na Avenida Brasil, altura do Caju. O condutor também não possuía Carteira Nacional de Habilitação. Ele foi detido e levado para a 17ª DP (São Cristóvão), onde o caso foi registrado com base no Artigo 311 do Código Penal, que fixa a punição de prisão e multa para quem “adulterar ou remarcar número de chassi ou qualquer sinal identificador de veículo automotor”. A situação gerou duas infrações para o motorista: uma no valor de R$ 293,47 por trafegar na faixa exclusiva do BRT e a outra, no mesmo valor, por adulteração na placa do veículo.
A Guarda Municipal do Rio (GM-Rio) está reforçando as ações de patrulhamento motorizado e a fiscalização nas passarelas da Avenida Brasil com agentes e também com drones para coibir o acesso indevido de veículos na pista do BRT. Desde 2023, até terça-feira (5/3), foram aplicadas mais de 970 multas por esta infração, sendo 51 aplicadas com drone. A fiscalização da GM-Rio é complementar a fiscalização eletrônica realizada pela CET-Rio. O objetivo é promover a mobilidade urbana e priorizar a segurança viária.
