Em referência ao Dia da Mulher, que é comemorado todo dia 8 de março, a Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio do Fundo Social de Solidariedade (FSS), realizou, nesta quinta-feira (7), uma série de ações voltadas principalmente para este público, no bairro Residencial Carandá, na Zona Norte da cidade.
As atividades tiveram início com uma roda de conversa, abordando vários assuntos relacionados à saúde e ao bem-estar da mulher. Com a participação da primeira-dama e presidente do Fundo Social, e as convidadas Tânia Tonet, que é enfermeira, e a guarda municipal Márcia Regna de Faria, que também atua com contação de histórias e bonecos de fantoche.
As ações aconteceram na E.M. “Prof.ª Renice Seraphim”, incluindo vários serviços gratuitos oferecidos aos moradores, tais como aferição de pressão e exames de glicemia, exposição sobre prevenção e combate à dengue e outras doenças; aplicação de vacinas por profissionais da Secretaria da Saúde (SES); orientações para o trabalho e formação profissional, pelo Posto de Atendimento ao Trabalhador (PAT) Móvel, da Secretaria de Trabalho e Qualificação Profissional (Sert); e, ainda, campanha de educação ambiental com a distribuição de mudas de plantas, pela Secretaria de Meio Ambiente, Proteção e Bem-Estar Animal (Sema). A população pôde contar, também, com a participação do CRAS (Centro de Referência em Assistência Social), ligado à Secretaria da Cidadania (Secid), e com esclarecimentos sobre os cursos do Sebrae e ações do Fundo Social de Solidariedade.
Todas essas atividades tiveram início a partir das 16h e seguiram até o fim da tarde, levando às mulheres que vivem nessa região da cidade várias oportunidades de atenção especial e orientações importantes para o seu bem-estar e de suas famílias.
