A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Serviços Públicos e Obras (Serpo), anunciou, na manhã desta quarta-feira (20), o início das obras de implantação de um Centro Comunitário Esportivo, localizado na Rua Arlindo Pereira Fernandes com a Rua Manoel Adolfo da Silva, no Jardim dos Pássaros, região do Éden, na Zona Industrial.
A obra ficará a cargo da empresa W2 Engenharia e Consultoria, contratada por processo licitatório, com recursos de emenda impositiva de vereador e deputada estadual, no valor de R$ 345.352,39, sob supervisão da Secretaria de Serviços Públicos e Obras.
Assim, o município busca, mais uma vez, proporcionar a revitalização de um importante espaço público para a população, proporcionando lazer e convívio social aos moradores, além de propiciar mais qualidade de vida para todos e, ainda, promover a valorização do local.
O novo espaço contará com campo de futebol, pista de caminhada, playground, passeio de concreto, entre outras melhorias. Também haverá instalação de iluminação pública com tecnologia em LED. O prazo de entrega do Centro Comunitário Esportivo é de até quatro meses.
