A Prefeitura de Ubatuba assinou nesta terça-feira, dia 2, o repasse anual de R$ 150 mil para a Associação Ubatuba de Surf (AUS), responsável pela realização de diversas competições de surfe no município.
Parceira da Secretaria Municipal de Esporte e Lazer, a AUS tem na programação deste ano a organização de eventos como o Circuito Ubatuba Pro Surf 2024 (três etapas); Circuito Paulista de Base Hang Loose Surf Attack; Projeto Social Centro/Sul; Longboard Festival Ubatuba; e o 10º Festival Estudantil de Surf Ubatuba 2024.
“Ubatuba é a Capital do Surfe e a AUS desenvolve um importante trabalho de fomentar e desenvolver a modalidade esportiva em Ubatuba. Essa parceria já dura anos e tivemos a oportunidade de aumentar o repasse da associação que antes era de R$ 100 mil e passou a ser agora de R$ 150 mil, para ampliar ainda mais as competições de norte a sul da cidade”, explicou a prefeita Flavia Pascoal.
Além do Termo de Colaboração, a AUS também foi contemplada com uma emenda parlamentar no valor de R$ 80 mil, conquistada pelo vereador Silvinho Brandão. O valor recebido reforçará na organização dos eventos.
“Este ano teremos algumas novidades. O Festival Estudantil passará de quatro para cinco dias, vamos disponibilizar premiação e alimentação para os participantes. Também realizaremos pela primeira vez o campeonato de Longboard, entre outras iniciativas para surfistas de 6 a 65 anos”, comemorou Cleiton Santos, presidente da Associação Ubatuba de Surf.
