Neste sábado, dia 20, das 14h às 18h, o Quilombo da Fazenda receberá mais uma edição do evento “Corta Cabaça”, realizado há oito anos pelo Coletivo Angoleiras de Ubatuba e Grupo de Capoeira Angola Irmãos Guerreiros com objetivo de valorizar a cultura afro-brasileira.
Com o nome “Saravá Jongueiro Velho”, o encontro promoverá vivências de jongo com Mestre Gil de Piquete e grupo Ô de Casa do Quilombo da Fazenda (às 14h); roda de capoeira com Mestre Pedro Peu “Angoleiro Sim Sinhô” (às 15h30); e roda de jongo (às 17h).
As atividades serão desenvolvidas na Casa de Farinha e abertas para toda população.
Segundo a organização do evento, outras três edições “Corta Cabaça” ocorrerão em Ubatuba neste ano (respectivamente nos meses de maio, junho e agosto), e em cada uma haverá a presença de mestres de outras cidades. Em breve, a programação completa desses encontros será divulgada.
O “Corta Cabaça – 8 anos” é um projeto contemplado no Edital ProAC n. 36/2023 e conta com o apoio do Instituto da Árvore de Ubatuba e do Quilombo da Fazenda.
