A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Relações do Trabalho e Qualificação Profissional (Sert), em parceria com o Fundo Social de Solidariedade (FSS) e a Associação Sorocabana de Artesanato (ASA), divulga o calendário de maio da tradicional Feira de Artesanato na cidade.
A programação começa na quinta-feira (2), na Praça da Maçonaria (Jardim Paulistano), permanecendo até sexta-feira (3). De 6 a 11 de maio, a feira acontecerá na Praça Cel. Fernando Prestes (Centro). Na sequência, de 13 a 17 de maio, o Largo do Rosário (Centro) receberá os artesãos e, entre os dias 20 e 24 de maio, a feira acontecerá na Praça Carlos de Campos (Centro). Por fim, de 27 a 29 e 31 de maio, a Praça da Maçonaria volta a sediar a Feira do Artesanato. O horário de funcionamento é sempre das 9h às 17h, de segunda a sexta-feira, e das 9h às 14h, aos sábados.
A Feira de Artesanato apresenta uma grande variedade de produtos confeccionados artesanalmente, tais como: artigos em crochê e tricô, bijuterias, peças decorativas, artigos em couro, mosaicos, quadros, porcelanas, roupas e acessórios para pets, plantas ornamentais, entre outros. Quem visitar também vai poder conferir as várias barracas de comidas típicas brasileiras e internacionais, como bolinho caipira, crepe, yakissoba, waffer, tapioca, pastel, fogazza e muito mais.
