A Liga Sorocabana de Basquete (LSB/PM Sorocaba) joga, neste domingo (5), às 11h, contra o Blumenau, pelo returno da Fase de Classificação do Campeonato Brasileiro Adulto Masculino 2024, no Ginásio Municipal de Esportes “Gualberto Moreira”, localizado na Vila Hortência. A entrada é gratuita.
Organizada pela Confederação Brasileira de Basketball (CBB), a competição reúne nove clubes de quatro estados brasileiros: Liga Sorocabana de Basquete (SP), Basket Osasco (SP), Basquete Santos (SP), Brusque (SC), Blumenau (SP), Cruzeiro Olympico (MG), Praia Clube (MG), EC Vitória (BA) e Basquete Tatuí (SP).
A equipe sorocabana integra a Conferência 1, ao lado do Basket Osasco, Basquete Santos, Brusque e Blumenau. Já a Conferência 2 tem Cruzeiro Olympico, Praia Clube, EC Vitória e Basquete Tatuí. Nessa fase inicial do Campeonato Brasileiro, os clubes jogam em turno e returno dentro das suas respectivas conferências. Ao final do returno, na Conferência 2, que contem quatro equipes, todas já estão classificadas para as Quartas de Final. Já na Conferência 1, o quinto colocado estará eliminado da competição.
A Liga Sorocabana de Basquete representa o município em campeonatos oficiais, com a parceria da Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Esporte e Qualidade de Vida (Sequav). O elenco da LSB/PM Sorocaba, sob o comando do técnico Rinaldo Rodrigues, é formado pelos seguintes jogadores: Adler Ribeiro, Anthony Harris, Beto Fagundes, João Fued, Dilber Ribeiro, Leandro Moraes, Weverton Felipe, Thiago Henrique, Victor Egon, Lucas “Fumaça” Marciel e Elivelton dos Santos.
