O projeto Música na Catedral apresenta, nesta sexta-feira (13), o Quarteto de Clarinetes da Banda formado por integrantes da Banda 5 de Agosto. O grupo vai tocar basicamente frevo, valsa, forró e algumas músicas clássicas. O evento, realizado pela Fundação Cultural de João Pessoa em parceria com a Arquidiocese da Paraíba, acontece na Catedral Basílica de Nossa Senhora das Neves, a partir das 10h, e a entrada é gratuita.
“Nós criamos esse projeto como uma forma de valorizar a visitação no nosso Centro Histórico e também integrar as igrejas, nesse caso, a Catedral de Nossa Senhora das Neves, ao nosso roteiro cultural e turístico. A Banda 5 de Agosto dá uma contribuição musical de excelência na cidade de João Pessoa e é extremamente importante mostrar a qualidade dos nossos músicos, das nossas musicistas para o público da cidade e para o turista”, afirma o diretor executivo da Funjope, Marcus Alves.
No repertório estão canções como Delícia, do Maestro Duda; Sinfonia do 40, de Mozart; a valsa Duas Mães; Forró Xaxado, que é um baião, além de uma seleção de músicas do Reio do Baião, Luiz Gonzaga, ou seja, um repertório mais voltado para a música camerista.
“É um projeto que está dando certo e atraindo mais público a cada apresentação. Quem vem uma vez, sempre traz outras pessoas no evento seguinte, alguém da família, um amigo, e pretendemos, com isso, formar uma plateia ainda maior até dezembro com a aproximação do período de férias, verão e festas de final de ano”, declara o maestro Rogério Borges.
O Música na Catedral conta com o apoio da Arquidiocese da Paraíba e, no projeto, os músicos da Banda 5 de Agosto farão várias formações, a exemplo da Banda de Coreto e Quinteto de Metais.
