O Hospital Municipal fechou 2023 em 6° lugar entre os hospitais do Estado de São Paulo que mais fizeram internações, segundo o DataSUS, do Ministério da Saúde. Os dados finais do ano passado foram disponibilizados neste mês.
Mantido pela Prefeitura e gerenciado pela SPDM (Associação Paulista para o Desenvolvimento da Medicina), o HM fez cerca de 27 mil internações em 2023.
Nos rankings anteriores do DataSUS, o Hospital Municipal estava em 9° lugar em internações em 2019, passou para o 8º lugar em 2020 e manteve o 6º em 2021, 2022 e 2023.
A eficiência no aproveitamento dos leitos é resultado do uso do Sistema Lean na gestão do hospital, implantado em 2017, que tem metodologias e ferramentas para otimizar resultados com base em princípios de gestão enxuta e eficiente.
O Lean é fundamental para gerir diariamente a ocupação de leitos, com atualização constante sobre o status dos leitos e promoção de um giro de vagas seguro, garantindo a qualidade e a humanização do atendimento.
O PHD (Programa Hospitalar Domiciliar) também é importante nesse processo. Uma unidade formada por médicos e enfermeiros trabalha de domingo a domingo levando assistência hospitalar até a casa de pacientes após a alta.
São cerca de 200 pacientes atendidos por mês, entre crianças, adultos e idosos, com necessidades diferenciadas, como os que tomam antibióticos injetáveis, têm lesões que precisam de curativos específicos ou outras situações que não exigem que a internação seja mantida.
Em 2023, o Hospital Municipal fez cerca de 14 mil cirurgias e uma média de 500 mil atendimentos pelo Pronto-Socorro e Ambulatório. No hospital nascem uma média de 500 bebês por mês. O carro chefe é a linha de trauma (acidentes), que atende cerca de 400 casos por mês.
