A Polícia Militar de Mato Grosso do Sul está reforçando o policiamento durante as festividades do Carnaval. O reforço teve início na quinta-feira (8) e se estendendo até dia 14 de fevereiro, quarta-feira. A Operação “Carnaval Mais Seguro” tem como objetivo garantir a tranquilidade social durante as festividades.
A estratégia adotada visa a segurança dos participantes, bem como a prevenção aos crimes de furtos, roubos, agressões e coibir práticas ilegais, como o porte de armas, o tráfico de drogas e a perturbação da tranquilidade pública.
Além disso, a PMMS está focada na fiscalização do cumprimento das leis de trânsito, especialmente relacionadas ao consumo de álcool, direção perigosa e excesso de velocidade, que são preocupações frequentes durante o carnaval.
Na Capital e no interior do Estado serão empregados o máximo de efetivo possível, sejam policiais militares integrantes dos setores administrativos, como os operacionais dos batalhões de área, centros de formação e unidades especializadas.
Cidades como Campo Grande, Corumbá e Bonito receberão atenção maior em virtude da alta concentração de pessoas, direcionando os esforços da polícia militar para garantir um ambiente seguro e harmonioso.
A PMMS destaca que está com duas campanhas para este Carnaval. A “Carnaval Mais Seguro”, visando a segurança dos foliões e “Não é Não e Ponto Final”, uma iniciativa no combate ao crime de importunação sexual e conscientização dos foliões.
