Secretaria de Educação de João Pessoa recebe do Governo do Estado ‘Selo Município Referência em Aprendizagem’

A Rede Municipal de Ensino de João Pessoa recebeu, nesta quinta-feira (9), o ‘Selo Escola Referência em Aprendizagem’ concedido pelo Governo do Estado através do programa ‘Pacto Alfabetiza Mais Paraíba’. A solenidade aconteceu no Teatro Pedra do Reino, no Centro de Convenções, onde a premiação foi entregue pelo governador João Azevêdo.
“Parabéns ao governador pelo incentivo e investimento através do programa Pacto Alfabetiza Mais Paraíba, lançado em maio do ano passado. Agradecemos o reconhecimento do trabalho da Secretaria de Educação e Cultura de João Pessoa para promover uma educação efetiva”, ressaltou o vice-prefeito da Capital, Leo Bezerra, que esteve presente no evento.
O objetivo principal do programa é alfabetizar todas as crianças até os sete anos de idade (2° ano do Ensino Fundamental I), por meio de regime de colaboração com os municípios paraibanos. “Dos 223 municípios do nosso Estado, 53 foram beneficiados com o ‘Selo Escola Referência em Aprendizagem’ e a cidade de João Pessoa foi uma delas. Isso nos orgulha bastante. Minha gratidão a todos e a todas que fazem a educação acontecer na rede”, disse a secretária de Educação e Cultura de João Pessoa (Sedec), América Castro.
Além da secretária, também estiveram presentes na solenidade secretárias e técnicos da Sedec. Cada escola premiada recebeu o prêmio de R$ 80 mil pelo desenvolvimento educacional e índice de aprendizagem.
