Os agentes da Autarquia Especial Municipal de Limpeza Urbana (Emlur) finalizaram os serviços de zeladoria das áreas que compõem o percurso da 3ª edição da Maratona Internacional de João Pessoa. Nos últimos 15 dias, os agentes da Emlur têm realizado os serviços de capinação, roçagem e pintura de meio-fio na rodovia PB-008 e nos bairros de Penha, Seixas, Altiplano, Cabo Branco, Tambaú, Manaíra e Bessa.
O evento, que faz parte da programação dos 438 anos da cidade, ocorrerá neste domingo (6), com largada no Centro de Convenções, às 5h. Conforme o superintendente da Emlur, Ricardo Veloso, as equipes de trabalho serão reforçadas para garantir a limpeza da cidade durante a execução das provas.
“Teremos nosso efetivo normal de agentes, na orla, fazendo a varrição na calçadinha e nas vias, e a catação na faixa de areia. Além disso, teremos 36 agentes de limpeza, que estarão dispostos próximos aos pontos de hidratação da corrida, para recolher os resíduos descartáveis”, explica Ricardo Veloso.
Provas – A maratona tem mais de cinco mil atletas inscritos e conta com quatro tipos de percurso – 5km, 10km, 21km e 42km. Os competidores passarão por vários pontos turísticos da cidade, como o Farol do Cabo Branco. Para quem vai correr 21 km, o retorno será após o antigo Jangada Clube, no Cabo Branco. Já na Maratona (42 km), os corredores percorrem ainda os bairros de Tambaú, Manaíra e Bessa, com retorno na praia de Intermares, em Cabedelo.
