A Prefeitura, por meio da Secretaria da Saúde, iniciou os estudos para futura implantação do serviço de assistência materno infantil em Guaratinguetá. A ação é uma iniciativa da Primeira-dama e Presidente do Fundo Social de Solidariedade do município, Andréa Évora Soliva, para fortalecer e melhorar o apoio às puérperas e gestantes guaratinguetaenses.
A ideia surgiu quando a equipe da prefeitura foi conhecer os serviços de apoio à gestante e puérperas em São Sebastião, a convite da professora do Senac e educadora Peri Natal, Cristina Rodrigues. Para a implantação, a equipe técnica da Secretaria de Saúde, composta pela enfermeira Queila de Oliveira e a técnica de enfermagem Amanda Leite, realizou na última semana uma visita ao CIAMA de São Sebastião para buscar referências para implantação do serviço em Guaratinguetá.
A Prefeitura de Guaratinguetá agradece à Secretaria de Saúde de São Sebastião e a enfermeira obstetra e responsável pelo Centro de Incentivo ao Aleitamento Materno do município, Pollyana Braga e sua equipe, pela excelente recepção e pela troca de conhecimentos e experiências de suma importância para implantação em Guaratinguetá.
